Reflection 2. Insights and inspiration

Recently, I had a pleasure of attending a captivating panel discussion that left me feeling inspired and enlightened. The event brought together experts and enthusiasts from various fields to delve into the thought-provoking topics such as 21st century education, definition of beauty, climate change and many more. In this blog, I will share some of the key takeaways and memorable moments from this engaging experience.

What made this panel discussion truly exceptional was the level of engagement and thought-provoking questions raised by both the panelists and audience. The diverse perspectives and experiences shared created an enriching environment for learning and reflection. It was reminder of the power of open dialogue and the value of listening to different viewpoints. It left a lasting impact on myself.

The insights gained from various topics have deepened my understanding and sparked a desire for further exploration. My career journey

Its already been a month since we joined this first ever teacher training college in Bhutan, Samtse College of Education. To be honest, to become a teacher wasn't my dream but however i end up coming here. I could say that it was my last choice and by default, I land up here to train for next 4 years to be a teacher.

When we first arrive here and attain the orientation held by the college, the college president sir said that even if it wasn't our dream, we must work for it because we are already in here now for our future student-to-be. I heard that  the job of a teacher wasn't a piece of cake and I saw it too. Unless you are a hard working person or your life long dream was to be a Teacher.

Since there is around 140 of us in IT course, we were divided into different sections and the only person I know (my roommate) and me were in different sections. Sitting in a room full of strangers without any friend is pinch in heart. But with no choice, i have to be there anyway. Though I'm not a winner, I heard that 'winners always stands alone'. Even though I failed in math in my 12th grade and I don't like math much, i have to take math here. With the session starting, I found myself worrying because my study wasn't going well. I lack concentration in class and failed to revise the lesson after class.

When I thought my student life was over finally, I have to start over again here. I wondered if I had taken different course, maybe, I would have enjoying my college life like others do. At the beginning of the class, I even thought of switching my course but I didn't know whom to consult and I found it impossible too. So I left that idea. Even if I don't much like the course I'm taking right now, I'm trying to because I don't want my families and governments  expenditure and effort to go in vain.

Time and again, I have to remind myself the purpose of coming here and I don't want to lose the once in a life time opportunity to experience college life. For the aim of better future, I will try my best to fit in this jigsaw puzzle.
